Restorative Yoga

This practice is suitable for any level of experience

“Yoga is the gateway to well-being and to personal inner balance”.

Restorative Yoga works by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, starting the natural relaxation response of your body. The movements are done in a very conscious and gentle way to build a sense of nourishment and relaxation. The sessions are planned in a way that every detail about the environment is part of the experience: natural light, soft relaxing music, all necessary props and lavender essential oil to support relaxation and an inner sense of balance.

“Amanda made it possible for me to connect with myself and to enjoy the experience. It isn’t easy to go into a meditative state, but Amanda made it simple and with no pressure (our mind is active by default). You just want to start feeling a sense of flow, instead of worrying about doing it right or wrong. The session is indeed restorative. I’m looking forward to repeating the experience”.
– Irene San Gil after her first Restorative Yoga experience

“My yoga practice has become a refuge of peace and inner nourishment”.
– M.J.S. has been practising yoga with Amanda for over two years

“My favorite thing about yoga is the time I dedicate exclusively to myself”.
– Sonia has recently started practising yoga with Amanda

“I really enjoy Amanda’s yoga classes. I have improved my physical fitness with increased flexibility, less back-pain but also at an emotional level with improved breathing and taking time for myself”.
– Beatriz enjoys hatha yoga and mindfulness practices

Restorative Yoga is a gentler type of yoga. It is a passive practice designed to slow down and open your body through passive stretching with the support of props such as folded blankets, yoga blocks, straps and cushions. All the poses are done either sitting or lying down. Chairs are available for extra support.
